Photo by Department of Culture and Youth PolicyAs part of strengthening the cultural ties between Russia and China, the Children’s School of Arts named after composer Dmitrij Kabalevsky once more co-organized the international online master class on painting. The creative meeting brought together young artists from Perm and the Chinese city of Zunyi in the concert hall of the Central Children’s School of Arts at Perm State Culture Institute (PSCI).
The project «Perm - Qingdao: community in colors» has been successfully implemented since 2023 by two Perm schools - the Central Children’s School of Arts (PSCI) and the Kabalevsky Children’s School of Arts - and their international partners. During its existence, the project has already been highly welcomed in several cities in China, including Beijing and Qingdao, and now also Zunyi and Hohhot.
In the previous online workshop, children created an image of the epic hero of the Urals. The theme of the new creative meeting was to study the architectural forms of historic building. Under the guidance of Min Yi, Master of Arts and teacher at Zunyi Vocational College, the participants created works of art dedicated to the landmark conference in Zunyi - an event that played a key role in the history of China. The children produced drawings of the building where the conference was held, following which Mao Zedong came to power.
The project aims to increase knowledge about the historical significance of the conference in Zunyi and promotes intercultural interaction through art.
